many updates…
Posted in Chickens, Garden, Shea on 04/24/2010 06:41 pm by KimAnyone remember this girl? From Pearl’s first litter… it’s Polly! She arrived back here in the NW on Tuesday night and we went down to Kim’s today to evaluate her. We all think she is beautiful and will finish easily even though she lacks flash. She has the biggest bone of any cardigan bitch I have ever seen. It’s the size of soda cans! Lovely long and low with nice shoulder lay back, pretty neck, posternum and drop.
We are dogged out, over dogged or also known as WE HAVE TOO MANY!
So she has gone to live with Jason, Alta and Liam. Jason has the show bug just like Mark.
Polly has an amazing temperament and will fit in nicely with their pack.
Once she finishes we’ll breed her to Casper (she is OFA pre-limed with a GOOD!) and then maybe Liam will get her for a wife.
and the Shea butter at 14 weeks, I think?
garden update: planted kohlorabi, bok choy, broccoli rabe, leeks, walla wallas, bunching green onions and romaine last week
chicken update: bought 6 new 8 week old girls this week. 4 rhode islands and 2 buff orpingtons
and I sneezed at Kim’s and my back went out. I think I shall go disappear into the tub overflowing with bubbles.
